Innovative and durable fillers, or aesthetic medicine in a new edition

Modern aesthetic medicine offers a number of solutions thanks to which it is possible to precisely shape the figure. Among the innovative products that deserve attention in this regard are durable fillers. Striving to achieve an attractive figure is a natural direction in which the majority of society is currently following – regardless of age or gender. Modern and safe fillers based on hyaluronic acid with additives are used primarily in the face, but you can successfully improve the appearance of other parts of the body with their participation. What exactly are fillers and what possibilities they create – you will learn all this from reading this article.

Fillers – what are they and why are they so popular?

Today's fillers commonly used in aesthetic medicine treatments are preparations based on hyaluronic acid, i.e. an organic substance that occurs in the body. Fillers are mainly used for modeling contours / elements of the face, supplementing cavities resulting from natural aging processes or accidents. Interestingly, the active ingredients with which innovative fillers are enriched can stimulate collagen production and make the skin perfectly moisturized and elastic. In addition to cross-linked hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin, fillers are also produced on the basis of calcium hydroxyapatite and polylactic acid (sculptra).

Filling is a typical volumetric procedure, i.e. aimed at rebuilding/increasing the volume of a given area of the body. Depending on the recipe, purpose, location and expected effects, injecting fillers can be done by injecting the surface layer, medium or deep skin. When injecting the filler, thin-walled needles are used. In the composition of high-quality fillers, you can often also find lidocaine (anesthetic), as well as mannitol, the presence of which minimizes the risk of hematomas and bruises after the procedure.

Natural fillers for the face and more

The largest range of treatments using fillers is related to modeling within the face. Nevertheless, fillers with hyaluronic acid work equally well in the case of correcting imperfections in the nature of other areas of the body. Among the most frequently performed procedures with the participation of fillers outside the face area, one can mention, m.in, the reconstruction of concavity after deformation caused by an accident or liposuction. In aesthetic medicine offices, volumetric treatments within the hands or the hands themselves are also popular.

When it comes to fillings in the face area, patients decide to inject preparations with hyaluronic acid in places such as:

  • mouth
  • nasolabial folds,
  • Cheeks
  • the area between the eyebrows,
  • forehead
  • infraorbital part and the area of "crow's feet",
  • nose
  • chin
  • temples,
  • neck and cleavage.

Filling medium and deep wrinkles as well as folds and furrows restores the desired volume, as well as restores the natural line of the face. In addition to this type of treatment, a large group of people strive to "improve nature" and decide to model individual elements of the face – in accordance with the accepted / recognized canon of beauty. Inspiration in this respect is often provided by well-known personalities who decide, for example, to enlarge the lips or expose the cheekbones.

Fillers are not only used to restore volume and contour various areas of the body, because the ingredients with which the preparations are enriched – additionally give the skin freshness and natural illumination. The recipe of some fillers has been developed for a special purpose. An example is fillers containing strong>elastic hyaluronic acid, which is dedicated to the so-called dynamic areas of the face, which are activated during smiling, talking, yawning or blinking. Professional filler in combination with professional injection can guarantee the durability of the effect up to 12 months.

Fillers in aesthetic medicine – facts and myths

The subject of fillers in aesthetic medicine undoubtedly arouses emotions and controversy. Unnaturally large lips, hardened face or inflated cheeks of several TV stars, stimulates the imagination and often creates a misleading image of the use of fillers.

It is worth remembering that fillers are to emphasize the natural features of appearance, and all rejuvenating treatments should be used in moderation – adequately to age. An important element is the selection of proven products from reputable companies on the market, as well as the use of the services of real specialists in the field of aesthetic medicine. So you definitely have to put a lie to the claim that all fillers are responsible for the unnatural look. Modern fillers based on hyaluronic acid perfectly integrate with living tissue, thanks to which they do not carry the risk associated with the strength / immobilization of the face.

Certified high-quality fillers are also not dangerous to health, provided that the injection is carried out by an experienced specialist, and all hygienic and sanitary procedures are observed during the procedure. By the way, it is worth recalling that complications occurred mainly when using solid fillers based on silicone or polyacrylamide. It is also not true to say that once performed the procedure must necessarily be repeated for the rest of your life. After a certain time (usually after several months), the injection site simply returns to the initial state, because hyaluronic fillers are successively metabolized by the body.

It is true, however, that fillers are not recommended for everyone, and the list of restrictions is determined by a number of contraindications that should be reported to the patient by an aesthetic medicine doctor. Among the factors/circumstances that limit the use of fillers, we can mention, m.in. pregnancy, breastfeeding, herpes, autoimmune diseases, tendency to form hypertrophic scars and general poor health.
