Training description

Trichology is a field of science that studies hair, scalp, and related diseases and disorders. Specialists in this field, called trichologists, focus on diagnosing, treating and maintaining the health of the hair and scalp.

Both the scalp and the hair itself can be treated. A trichologist deals with conditions such as:

• alopecia
• excessive hair loss
• dandruff
• Seborrhea
• psoriasis
• itching of the scalp
• inflammation of the scalp.

Trichology is considered a relatively young field of science. Currently, trichology is developing at a very fast pace. Many private clinics offering aesthetic medicine services, including trichology, have been established. Often, the improvement of the condition of the hair and scalp is associated not only with the cessation of ailments such as inflammation, but also significantly improves the mental comfort of patients and improves the quality of life, which is why it is so important to decide to visit a trichologist in the event of worrying ailments.

The training will be conducted by an experienced trichologist, aesthetic medicine specialist Edyta Obuchowska. The training includes a theoretical part (3-4 hours), during which m.in will be discussed:

• What does Trichology do? Introduction and discussion of trichology
• Anatomy and physiology of the skin.
• Diagnostics in the treatment of alopecia
• Aesthetic medicine treatments in the treatment of scalp diseases: needle and microneedle mesotherapy, platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin
• Organization of a trichology office

The practical part (4-5 hours) will include, m.in:

• Interview as the most important source of information on trichological problems (Interview questionnaire, consent to the procedure, GDPR, structure of the trichological visit)
• Trichoscopy – learning how to use a trichoscope and a trichology camera
• Oxygen infusion, oxybrasion, darsaonvalization – demonstration and learning of trichological equipment
• Learning proper care – trichological peeling, application of dermocosmetics
• Needle and microneedle mesotherapy. Discussion of treatment protocols and procedures. Demonstration and learning of treatments.
• Platelet-rich plasma and fibrin. Discussion of treatment protocols and procedures. Demonstration and training of treatments
